Kettlebell floor press 🏋🏾 . This exercise is a great progression to transitioning into a half kneel lunge press . The benefits of this exercise are promoting good anterior core control by actively crunching your abs, allows for the shoulder joint to really enhance for dynamic stabilization of the rotator cuff muscles. Influences the joint to be reactive in space (proprioception) . ✅lie flat on a floor or yoga mat (tuck in the hip, create a chin nod, and “crunch” the ribcage down to create stability throughout the chain) . ✅bring the shoulder out in 30 to 45 degrees and the elbow at 90 degrees as demonstrated in the video( this brings into a scaption plane) . ✅with your trail arm press down onto the floor (just enough so you are stable on the non-pressing arm) and then perform for lift with the kettlebell . ❌do don’t perform if you’re experiencing should shoulder usability/injury consult with our therapist/rehabilitation specialist . #strengthtraining #weightliffting #kettlebellworkout #fitnessmotivation #physicaltherapy #personaltraining #sportsinjury #rehabilitation #psycotherapy #natropathicmedicine

I wanted to share something I find very comforting and reassuring during these current times of uncertainty. The body is very intelligent and knows what to do to look after itself. Our job is to allow that by removing the interference - for example modern habits like snacking or sitting down all day, or diet consisting of processed foods. Our choices make a huge difference, and we have great power over our own health. There are numerous ways to support your body to stay healthy and functioning, and what's best about them is that you can start doing them today. Cut off sugar, refined carbs, and cheap and processed vegetable oils, such as rapeseed oil, and transfats. Buy products containing only one ingredient and cook yourself from stratch as often as possible. Stop snacking and eating from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed - practice intermittent fasting. Drink water. Replace table salt with a good quality salt such as himalayan pink salt. Move. Avoid sitting down all day, stand up and use the stairs instead of a lift. Walk. Cycle. Stretch. Exercise - do interval training and resistance training. Get out in the sun especially in the morning. Manage stress levels and do the things you love. Get enough sleep. In the first picture I had just started working out and was doing a lot of cardio but I was hesitant to start strength training. But when I did it made a huge difference! In the beginning I didn’t have bands but I started incorporating kickbacks and single leg glute exercises to my leg workout and those exercises were a game changer 🥰
