"I see the world being slowly transformed into a wilderness; I hear the approaching thunder that, one day, will destroy us too. I feel the suffering of millions. And yet, when I look up at the sky, I somehow feel that everything will change for the better, that this cruelty too shall end, that peace and tranquillity will return once more." Anne Frank
Although the circumstances are completely different, in some ways the situation is similar. We're all held hostage in our homes, some for fear of death. For a 13 year old girl Anne Frank wrote some very wise words in her diary. It's a shame that the events of her time didn't teach us to live harmoniously as one world. I'd like to think that the current pandemic will help in this department, but I fear that it's a very far fetched dream.
Covid-19 doesn't discriminate, it doesn't care if you are rich, poor, Asian or Western. It's about time the leaders of our countries realised that we would all benefit from learning from each other and working together as #oneworld
